Astoria's Filtering and Conditional Processing Capabilities

Astoria provides several methods to support filtering and conditional processing of repository content.

Conditional processing uses attribute values set on document elements. You can specify filtering and conditional processing of repository content using these methods:
Method Description
Filtering Constraints and Filters A comprehensive method for managing filtering criteria by specifying filter constraints and filter objects, and controlling which objects in the repository can use a filter object.

A Filtered View command is available to browse objects using a filter object.

Effectivity Uses XPath expressions to create filtered content based on attribute values set on elements.
DITAVAL files DITA architecture supports the use of DITAVAL files to identify the values used for conditional processing. Astoria supports the use of DITAVAL files when composing output with the DITA Open Toolkit.
