Setting the Translation Language on a Translation Package

This command is available only when manually uploading a translation package. It does not apply to repositories that are configured to support a translation management system vendor.

This command is used when a completed translation package is uploaded to Astoria without a valid language_locale string in the file name. See Translation Package File Name Requirements.

If this occurs, Astoria generates an error. The translation manager receives an email notification of the error with a link to the uploaded file.

Note: Translation packages with an invalid locale or with no locale at all are marked with the InvalidLocale item flavor. You can see this by selecting the uploaded .zip file. In the Workbench Properties view, the Item Flavor property shows InvalidLocale.
  1. Navigate to the uploaded file in the Translation/Upload folder in the Administration cabinet.
  2. Right-click the file and select Translate > Set Language.
  3. Select the correct language_locale from the list.
  4. Click OK.
The file name is amended and Astoria will attempt to process the translation package. It removes the InvalidLocale value from the Item Flavor property when the language_locale string is corrected.
